Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania, has declared he will declare a disaster to expedite federal funding. The extremely congested stretch of road’s north and southbound lanes will be closed for months, according to officials.

Between the exits for Woodhaven Road in Northeast Philadelphia and Aramingo Avenue in the Port, all lanes of the roadway are closed.

The cause of the fire and the collapse of the elevated roadway segment, which officials stated did not result in any injuries or fatalities, is being investigated by federal, state, and local authorities. The National Transportation Safety Board announced that it had dispatched a team to investigate safety.
