Here’s Why Josh Duggar, who was convicted of child pornography, Will Be Confined for More Time

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, Josh Duggar, a former reality television personality who is presently incarcerated after being found guilty of child pornography, will continue to be detained for two more months after completing his 12.5-year sentence. Duggar “remains in solitary” after being found in possession of an illegal mobile phone.

An investigator with the Little Rock police found images of child abuse that had been shared by a computer connected to the “19 Kids and Counting” personality in April 2021, leading to the detention of the 35-year-old. Federal agents reportedly downloaded them onto a computer at a Duggar-owned car dealership in 2019 and searched Wholesale Motorcars in November 2019. Investigators claim that the pictures were taken in 2019.

The prosecution claims that the pictures and film were downloaded following the installation of separate software that would have allowed him to download files covertly. A monitoring program was installed on the computer Duggar used to record his activities and send reports to his wife, Anna Duggar. According to the prosecution, Duggar was also with two other individuals whose cellphones were not taken. Duggar was free to leave the area and was instructed not to speak with agents without an attorney present. This demonstrates that “he had the opportunity to speak with a lawyer despite the fact that obviously the officers had appropriately seized the phone at the beginning of their search,” they continued.

According to Insider, Duggar’s release date had been postponed until August 22, 2032, according to online jail records from earlier this week. The papers now state that he will be released on October 2, 2032. The former “19 Kids and Counting” actor has been serving his sentence at the close-by FCI Seagoville. Last May, he was sentenced to 151 months in prison. Duggar was transferred to FCI Seagoville in Texas in June 2017 from the Washington County Jail in his home Arkansas.

He received a 151-month jail term last May. In June, Duggar was moved from the Washington County Jail in his native Arkansas to FCI Seagoville in Texas.
