According to a recent source, Lawrence Jones will take over next week in place of Tucker Carlson, who was replaced by Fox & Friends personality Brian Kilmeade.
According to Page Six, Lawrence Jones, the show’s youngest solo black host, will take Carlson’s spot-on Fox. On Saturday nights on Fox, the 30-year-old anchor anchors Lawrence Jones Cross Country. Beginning on Monday, he will anchor the Fox prime-time show that Tucker Carlson previously hosted at 8 p.m.
A media insider reportedly informed the newspaper that the network was “trying out a rotating list of anchors” to fill the position, the outlet added. Lawrence Jones will start the following week, while Brian Kilmeade will start this week. According to the insider, it is “significant that they have chosen Jones to step up so soon after Tucker’s departure.”
Garland, Texas, is the hometown of Lawrence Jones. In 2018, he joined the Fox network. He was chosen to host the weekend primetime program “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” almost four years later. In his 10 p.m. hour, which has been on air since January 2022, he averages roughly 1 million viewers.
Jones is a Texas resident. For his performances, he has been making Friday and Saturday trips to New York. He works as an enterprise reporter and national correspondent for Fox & Friends for the remainder of the week.
