Three Suspects in Alleged Attack on Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine at Florida Gym

Authorities say they arrested three individuals on Thursday in connection with an alleged assault on famous rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. The actual name of Tekashi 6ix9ine is Daniel Hernandez, but the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office announced in a statement that three people had been arrested and booked for assaulting and robbing him.

Rafael Medina Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado, 25; all three were recognized by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Medina, age 43, and Maldonado, age 25, have been detained on allegations of felony battery and robbery, according to jail documents. Octavious Medina, who is 23 years old, lacked a public record.

According to attorney Lazzaro, his client Tekashi was “beaten up” by a group of strangers in a bathhouse south of West Palm Beach. On March 21st, the famous person was spotted at the county’s LA Fitness.

According to Lazzaro, Tekashi attempted to fight back when he was attacked, but he was outmatched. When gym staff heard the commotion, they reportedly ran away and called the police.

At that time, the sheriff’s office had released a statement that noted that deputies had been informed of an altercation at the gym. The statement also mentioned that the rapper had non-life-threatening injuries and that he had been taken to the hospital.

Videos that were posted on social media showed clips of the fight and there were also photos of the celebrity rapper showing his injuries as well as showing blood on his face.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine faced 47 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to multiple counts of charges that included racketeering, firearms offenses, and drug trafficking. His sentence was reduced as his testimony helped authorities convict two major gang leaders.
