Disturbing surveillance footage of rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, has ignited a wave of reactions from celebrities, web fans, and the public. This footage, from a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, supports allegations made by Cassie in her 2023 lawsuit accusing Combs of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking, which has since been settled.

The video, released by CNN, shows Combs wearing only socks and a towel, punching the singer and dancer in the face, kicking her as she lies motionless, and dragging her back to their room by her hoodie.

Celebrity rapper 50 Cent, known for locking horns with Combs, sarcastically commented on social media: “Now I’m sure Puffy didn’t do it. He is innocent. This proves nothing!” Celebrity supermodel Emily Ratajkowski condemned Combs, calling him a “monster” on social media.

Celebrity singer Aubrey O’Day warned her fans about the graphic nature of the video. Celebrity television personality Claudia Jordan criticized those defending Combs, emphasizing the challenges women face in proving abuse.

Other public figures also weighed in. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy demanded severe legal action, and comedian Jay Pharoah questioned Combs’ repeated denials. Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, shared a heartfelt message condemning abusive men and their enablers.

Rapper Combs has faced several other sexual assault lawsuits, including one from his former employee Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones in February. A raid on his Los Angeles home in March involved armored vehicles and armed Homeland Security agents, during which his sons, Justin and Christian, were detained. As the investigation continues, celebrities and Cassie’s supporters web fans continue to voice their condemnation.
