Microsoft has added new AI-generated visuals to its AI processes. The tech behemoth announced on Tuesday that Microsoft Bing and Edge have a new tool that enables text to be converted to images. It will use OpenAI’s DALL-E to generate text-driven pictures. The most recent advancement in artificial intelligence-powered powers is this generative image creation feature, which will be accessible in preview.
In a press release, Microsoft said “Create images with your words” and also announced that the Bing Image Crestor has come to the new Bing. Additionally, it stated that users would now have the choice to create both written and visual material in the same location, namely chat.
After being introduced in the “Creative Mode” of the search engine, Microsoft’s Bing Image Creator will be completely integrated with chat, according to the company. It will also be accessible from Microsoft Edge’s toolbar.
The image’s caption had to be typed in by the user. It is possible to provide more information, such as the action or location. The user could also specify a style, and AI would produce a picture using that style and the user’s creativity.
The company said that it would use “a phased approach” to roll out this feature with select users who would preview the feature, following which there would be a general rollout. Microsoft noted that Bing’s new capabilities had been used in both expected and unexpected ways in past releases so the company would start with a preview before expanding the use of the feature.
For all Bing users, Microsoft has also introduced Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0. This search feature would make experiences more engaging as it would help users interact with content, offer images and short videos to them. Knowledge Cards would help help Bing users with an “infographic-inspired experience” that was powered by AI.
Microsoft said that that all these new features have been developed to make Binge and Edge experiences more immersive, more interesting as well as useful and fun.
