The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of $0.1797, significantly higher than the anticipated -$0.06, and revenue of approximately $7.02 billion, outperforming the forecasted $6.39 billion. This performance underscores CRH’s strong operational execution and its ability to exceed analyst predictions.
During its Q1 2024 Earnings Conference Call, CRH’s leadership, including Group Chief Executive Albert Manifold and Chief Financial Officer Jim Mintern, highlighted the company’s financial achievements and operational progress. The company’s financial health was further evidenced by its net income of $114 million and a net income margin improvement of 220 basis points to 1.7%. Adjusted EBITDA rose by 15% to $445 million, with the adjusted EBITDA margin increasing by 80 basis points to 6.8%. These results highlight CRH’s effective management and operational excellence. Additionally, CRH’s commitment to shareholder value is evident through its ongoing share buyback program and the announcement of a quarterly dividend of 35 US cents per share, marking a 5% annualized increase.
