Celebrity comedian Richard Lewis has died of a heart attack. The 76-year-old actor died peacefully in his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday. In April 2023, he revealed that he had Parkinson’s disease. He had entertained web fans for decades with popular shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and Anything but Love. He also acted in a few films after starting his career as a stand-up comedian. Many celebrity friends and web fans sent condolence messages.
Richard Lewis appeared on The Tonight Show, which starred Johnny Carson. After this 1974 appearance, he continued to be part of late-night comedy. His career continued with special shows on cable in the 1980s. His roles in Anything But Love with Jamie Lee Curtis and the comedy movie Robin Hood: Men in Tights were prevalent among web fans.
The writer-actor-comedian was known for his dark clothes and dark sense of humor. He played a darker version of himself in the popular HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm with fellow comedian Larry David.

He popularized the phrase “The – – – – – from hell.” The blanks are filled in by whichever word a person hates.
Richard Lewis said he originated this phrase mentioned in the Yale Book of Quotations. However, Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations did not credit him with popularizing this familiar phrase.
Season of Curb Your Enthusiasm made the phrase a storyline in The Nanny episode, which aired in 2022. It refers to the comedian’s effort to get recognition by Bartlett.
