The accidental fire, which Swift humorously handled, was recorded by Abrams, capturing Swift’s calm and joking demeanor. The video garnered widespread love and heart emojis from web fans on social media.
Abrams posted the video on Friday and another clip showcasing her collaboration with Swift on the song “Us.” She captioned the post, “Writing this entire song from 2 am to 6 am was some of the most fun I’ve had in my life,” tagging Swift and adding, “Now we know how to use a fire extinguisher. I love you.”
Abrams revealed to Billboard that they initially thought one of Swift’s cats was making noise when they heard a sound earlier. The fire started after a candle fell over, but Swift quickly extinguished it.
Celebrity Grace Abrams released her new song “Us” on Friday, part of her sophomore album, The Secret of Us. The album includes tracks like “Us,” breakout single “Close to You,” and “Risk.”
This follows her debut record, Good Riddance, released in February 2023. Abrams, a Grammy nominee for Best New Artist, had opened for celebrity Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in the spring and summer of 2023 and will join Swift again for select dates on her North American tour in the fall of 2024.
