Majors was taken into custody by the New York City Police Department in March following their response to a 911 call regarding a reported domestic disturbance at an apartment in the Chelsea section of Manhattan.
The indictment claims that Majors assaulted Grace Jabbari by pulling her finger, twisting her arm behind her back, cutting her ear, and pushing her into a taxi, which resulted in her falling backward.
Renowned criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry, who represents Majors, claims to have given prosecutors exculpatory video evidence that demonstrates the Marvel star was the victim, not the aggressor, in their domestic fight with Jabbari. Chaudhry requested that the judge forbid the prosecution from calling Jabbari “the victim” when the jury is being selected.

The U.S. Army, which was “deeply concerned” about the assault allegations, withdrew TV advertising featuring Majors, 33, following his arrest. Disney had to postpone Majors’s upcoming Marvel movie, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” and there was still uncertainty around the theatrical distribution of his recent Sundance Film Festival entry, “Magazine Dreams”. It is also said that he was fired from Entertainment 360, his talent management company.
Three counts of reckless assault and three counts of unintentional assault are among the misdemeanor assault and harassment allegations against Majors. Majors may spend up to a year in jail if he is found guilty of the allegations. 14 witnesses will be called, according to Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecutors Kelli Galloway and Michael Perez.
