A missing man’s body was discovered in a carpet, and police arrested a woman they believed to be the murderer.

The corpse of Nathan Millard, a Georgia man, was found on March 6 and wrapped in a carpet. On Friday, the corpse of Millard was found in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and police arrested a woman named Tiffany Ann Guidry, 27. She was taken into custody for “illegally discarding human remains.” Baton Rouge local Tabbetha Barner, who police say was Guidry’s collaborator, is also wanted.

Baton Rouge law enforcement officials reportedly detained Guidry after receiving an anonymous tip about him. On top of the charges of prostitution and failing to provide assistance, Guidry was also found guilty of illegally disposing of human remains and received a punishment of time in the East Baton Rouge Community Jail.

Baton Rouge Police Detectives arrested Derrick Perkins,45, today for his involvement in the improper disposing of Nathan Millard’s body. Perkins was in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison relative to an Access Device Fraud charge prior to this arrest. Perkins has now been charged with Unlawful Disposal of Remains, Obstruction of Justice, Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Failure to Seek Assistance.

Baton Rouge police stated that Millard was a father and husband, who was on a quick business trip to Baton Rouge when he vanished and was later discovered dead. It also revealed that there is an active warrant for Barner’s arrest for prostitution and failure to help. Guidry also has an active warrant for prostitution and failing to assist.

The arrest follows 45-year-old Derrick Perkins’ detainment for obstruction of justice, criminal damage to property, and failure to seek assistance. He is suspected of being a drug dealer, and for taking a 2004 Toyota Camry, as well as attempting to “disguise” the vehicle. According to the authorities, when Millard’s disappearance received “national attention,” he spray-painting the car’s bumper to disguise the car. Within days of the father is reported missing, he was also observed using Millard’s credit card at two separate stores.

Millard is supposed to have had a few drinks with his client before departing from the pub at about 11.30 p.m., after a day at the Louisiana State University basketball game. In the police-released CCTV, Millard could be seen strolling along with another man, probably his client. The client assumed Millard had returned to his hotel room, which was only a short walk away, but he never did.

On March 6, at around 3:34 a.m., someone from the public found Millard’s corpse in a block near Scenic Highway after being drawn by a “stench” to a garage where it had been dumped. After an autopsy, police concluded that Nathan overdosed accidentally because his corpse exhibited “neither internal nor external trauma.”

Authorities are investigating how his corpse ended up being dumped inside a carpet behind a garage. Investigators think he may have overdosed before people moved his body to a different spot.
